Kelowna Caring Canines Society is a long-time non-profit organization that is committed to building a stronger bond between dogs and humans. We train our handlers and their dogs to take them to sensitive places such as our local hospital, residential care homes, educational institutions, and provide dog and handler teams for the Kelowna Airport Ambassadog Program.
Pet therapy has been recognized as a legitimate and beneficial treatment in boosting the mental and physical well-being of people. From our years of experience in offering pet therapy services, we have been able to offer a variety of pet therapy programs throughout Kelowna.
Studies show that interacting with pets such as dogs can enhance one’s mental and physical health. Among other things, pet therapy can reduce blood pressure, reduce stress, boost cardiovascular health, alleviate pain, and improve your psychological state. As a student preparing for exams or going through depression, getting pet therapy can be all you need to improve your mood.
At Kelowna Caring Canines Society, we take it upon ourselves to offer pet therapy services to seniors, patients, students and community members to help improve the quality of their lives, and for them to appreciate the importance of a bond with a four legged friend and the love and care they give back.
As we are a non-profit organization providing amazing pet therapy to people, you can decide to partner with us by becoming a volunteer or a sponsor.
