FortisBC staff had the opportunity to share their lunch hour with our members and their furry volunteers in the courtyard of their Springfield Office. Both the FortisBC Staff and the dogs enjoyed a beautiful afternoon visit. It was such a success that FortisBC will be looking to have our Society return for another visit in the near future
Dogs in attendance were Jilly,(Australian Labradoodle) Walter,(Brewer Yorkie) Wilson,(GoldenDoodle) Tobi and Elli,(Pembroke Welsh Corgis)

The Dog Ambassador program, at Kelowna Airport was started last year and now eight handlers and their dogs have been certified as Ambassadors to provide pet therapy to travellers arriving or departing from Kelowna Airport.

February 7th was Okanagan College’s Stress Busters Event.
Our members were on hand to help students relieve stress during Mid Term Exams. Along with the many other activities, 8 of our furry Volunteers kept students happy.
Enjoying all the attention from the students were
Chester, Luna, Pierce, Finnegan, Mandy, Rose, Tobi and Elli.
Okanagan College Students enjoyed visiting with all the dogs over their lunchbreak.
Our furry volunteers will be back to visit with Okanagan College Students in early March and April .
