THERAPY PET
Saturday October 27th was the Kelowna Airport Fall Travel Show.
Our Society was the chosen charity for all funds raised at the show. In conjunction with Kelowna Airport Staff, we have started a Pet Ambassador Program at the Kelowna Airport. Currently, there are four of our volunteers and their dogs visiting at the Airport- Jeepster, Maude, Yuma, and Chester. There are plans to bring on many more furry volunteers over the next year. Our Society had a display booth where Airport Staff and travellers had a chance to get more acquainted with our program. We had 19 Members and their furry volunteers put in about 36 hours of volunteer time over the day. At the conclusion of the show our Society was presented a cheque for 5,696.15
